Join us as we explore the spirit and culture of Cape Verde through photographer Sonya Tanae Fort’s, I See You exhibition, along with special guests: Joe DaMoura, Executive Director - Cape Verdean Museum, will give an overview of Cape Verde’s history and the cultural significance of music. Michiko B. Andrade - Author, and Founder - Cape Verdean Harmony and Heritage Initiative, and Manuel Da Luz Goncalves, Author - Cape Verdean to English, and English to Cape Verdean Dictionaries, will discuss the evolution of Kabuverdianu into a written language. The event will conclude with a live performance by vocalist Vanusa Dos Santos accompanied by guitarist Rafael Pires.
